Mrs. Lana Craig

In your own words, what is your role as a school board member?

My role is to uphold policies and procedures in our county to better our schools and keep students first.

Why did you want to become a member of the school board?

My career has been attached to education in some form over the years, and I felt led to continue to give back to our community.

Outside of serving on the school board, what is your full-time job, and how long have you been in your present work?

I work at our family business Craig & Wheeler Realty & Auction LLC and have had my real estate license now for 12 years.

Tell us about your family.

I have been married to Ben Craig for 24 years, and we have two children. Walker is 19 and plays baseball at Dyersburg State Community College and Isabella is 15 and attends Cascade High School where she is girls basketball manager, is on Student Council and is a class officer.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love walking, spending time outside working in my flowers and reading.

How many years have you served as a school board member?

I have served for a year and a half.

From your time serving on the school board, what are you most proud of?

I am proud to be learning and growing!

What area or areas of Bedford County do you represent?
