Mr. Dan Reed
In your own words, what is your role as a school board member?
I am to represent my district and all of Bedford County in the matters of policy, budget and facility management. The students, staff and administrations are our number one focus.
Why did you want to become a member of the school board?
I wanted to represent my district and my three Schools in Unionville. I wanted to give back to the community that I love dearly.
Outside of serving on the school board, what is your full-time job, and how long have you been in your present work?
I have pastored New Vision Baptist Church of Unionville since 2012. I also serve as operations manager at SEC Auto Transport in Shelbyville.

Haley teaches 4th grade at Community Elementary, Lacey teaches 6th grade math at Community Middle, and Will serves as an EA at Thomas Magnet while he is completing college to teach as well. We are also blessed with one grandchild and soon to be two grandchildren!

We love to travel to sporting events and any moment whatsoever we can get with our grandson.
How many years have you served as a school board member?
I am currently in my 2nd term and my 6th year.
From your time serving on the school board, what are you most proud of?
