Community High School Spirit Banner Rules

•Must be made of felt.

•Must be ready to hang when turned in.

•It must be predominantly purple and gold.

•Banners must be 6 feet wide by 9 feet long (variations will be disqualified).

•Must contain a rod pocket for dowel or conduit pipe.

•Banners are to be measured from the top of the rod pocket to the bottom of the banner.

•Nothing may extend outside the 6x9 area.

•Items may be appliqued or glued on the banner.

•Any theme will be acceptable as long as sports/class school activity/class-related.

•Must have the class name on it. (Ex. Class of 2022 or Seniors etc.)

•Glitter, paint, etc. may be used to highlight only.

•May use braiding, cords, or other fabric in much the same way that you would use glitter to enhance your banner.

•No paper or cardboard.

•Banners are expected to be original.

•Must be turned in at the library.

•Custodians will hang the banners.

•Banners will be displayed in the gym.

•Judges will be given a copy of the rules while judging.

•Banners will be judged on originality, neatness, school spirit, creativity and attractiveness.

•Points given 60, 50, 40, 30.

•5 additional points (each) will be given to the banners with the Best Slogan, Best Development of Theme, Most Creativity and Originality, and the Best Use of Mascot.
